You will need to obtain an authorization number and bring it to Ontario Motor Sales.  We are also happy to assist you in getting your authorization number while you are in the dealership. Why am I being asked personal questions before generating an authorization number?As part of GM’s efforts to help protect the security of your GM Employee Discount and prevent fraud, the Family First program has implemented a series of security questions to confirm a participant’s identity.

What happens if I don’t answer the questions correctly to confirm my identity?If you are not able to answer the questions correctly and confirm your identity, you will not be allowed to view your authorization number online. You can still request an authorization number, but it will be sent via FedEx (anticipate 2 business days) to the address on file.

Authorization numbers obtained are valid for 6 months toward the purchase or lease of an eligible, new vehicle. You must take delivery of the vehicle prior to the authorization number expiring.

If you don’t use your authorization number prior to the expiration date, the authorization will be added back into your account. To purchase or lease, you will have to obtain a new authorization number by following the instructions outlines above.

GM may authorize restrictions on certain models for production purposes. When new models are introduced, GM attempts to build an inventory to provide for all consumers. The restrictions may be lifted once production of the vehicle is in full operation. Please check the Vehicle Eligibility section above to view eligible vehicles.

Current employees and retirees: Active and retired GM employees are eligible to receive six (6) authorizations per calendar year.

Contract Salaried Employee, Temporary Employees are eligible to participate for theduration of their employment. CSE Temporary Employees (on GM payroll) have the same sponsorshipeligibility as regular employees.

Possession of the vehicle, registration and title must remain in the personal name or the company nameof the eligible participant for a minimum of 6 months from the delivery date and 12,000 KM's. The Chevrolet Corvette retention period is 12 months AND 12,000 km from the delivery date by the original eligible participant.
